Madrid-Barajas (airport code MAD) has four terminals. Your terminal depends on the airline, not the destination — here's a quick guide for international travelers:
- T1 — Most non-Schengen and low-cost carriers: JetBlue, United, Delta (some routes), Air Europa transatlantic, easyJet.
- T2 & T3 — Short-haul Schengen and regional flights. Rarely used by long-haul U.S. arrivals.
- T4 — Iberia and Oneworld short/medium-haul, plus check-in for T4S long-haul.
- T4S (satellite) — Long-haul Iberia and American Airlines from the U.S. arrive here. A shuttle train connects T4S to T4, then to your driver.
