How our pricing works — plain English, no surprises.
We use three simple pricing models depending on the trip: the official Madrid taxi meter for short city rides, a flat agreed price for day trips, and a written custom quote for special services. You always know the price before you book — no surge, no hidden fees, no per-passenger charges.
Metered city rides
When it applies. Short rides inside Madrid — hotel to a restaurant, station to your apartment, dinner across town.
How it works. The car runs on the official Madrid taxi meter, set by the city and identical for every licensed taxi. You pay what the meter shows at the end of the ride.
- All tolls and city surcharges (they don't apply on standard city rides)
- Luggage — no extra fee
- Night and weekend tariffs are the standard regulated rate — no surge
Note. Rides to or from Madrid-Barajas Airport inside the city ring have a regulated flat rate set by the city — same price for every licensed taxi, so there's no meter surprise on airport pickups either.
Agreed day-trip pricing
When it applies. Full-day or multi-hour private services — day trips to Toledo, Segovia, Valladolid or Peñafiel; a shopping day; hourly hire.
How it works. We give you one flat quote for the whole day before you book. Same price whether the day is 8 or 10 hours, whether traffic is heavy, whether you take an extra stop.
- The full day with your driver and van
- Tolls, fuel, parking and driver waiting time at every stop
- Free child seats and wheelchair access — never a surcharge
- Up to 6 passengers — you don't pay per person
Note. Long-distance transfers (Marbella, Valencia, Barcelona) are quoted the same way: one flat price agreed in advance. Meals, museum tickets and winery tastings are not included and are paid by you directly.
Quoted special services
When it applies. Anything bespoke — female driver on request, Arabic-speaking chauffeur, VIP arrivals, wedding parties, multi-day itineraries, corporate roadshows, multi-vehicle convoys.
How it works. We write you a custom quote that lays out exactly what's included, when, and at what price — with everything approved in writing before we start.
- The specific driver profile, vehicle and hours you request
- Coordination across days, drivers or multiple vehicles
- Any extras we arrange for you (restaurant bookings, winery visits, guides)
Note. These jobs are quoted individually because the setup is different every time. You always see the total and what's covered before you approve.
A quick comparison
Not sure which pricing model applies to your trip? Here's the short version:
| Your trip | Pricing model | When you know the total |
|---|---|---|
| Short ride across Madrid | Official taxi meter | At the end of the ride |
| Madrid ↔ Barajas Airport (inside city) | Regulated flat rate | Before you book |
| Day trip (Toledo, Segovia, Peñafiel...) | Agreed flat quote | Before you book |
| Long-distance transfer (Marbella, Valencia) | Agreed flat quote | Before you book |
| Female driver, VIP, wedding, multi-day | Written custom quote | Before you approve |
Same drivers, same vehicles, same standards — the pricing model just changes to fit the trip.

Frequently asked questions
Is there any surge pricing or dynamic pricing?
No. Madrid taxis are regulated — the meter and the flat airport rate are set by the city, not by an app. Day trips and special services are quoted up front and don't change based on demand or time of day.
Do you accept U.S. credit cards?
Yes — Visa, Mastercard and American Express through a secure payment link we send by WhatsApp or email. Cash (in euros) and Bizum are also accepted. No cash needed if you'd rather not carry euros.
Do I need to tip?
Tipping is appreciated but not expected in Spain. Rounding up or 5–10% for exceptional service is generous. Nothing is auto-added.
What about tolls, night rates, luggage or child seats?
Included. Tolls, driver waiting time, child seats and wheelchair accessibility are already in the price we quote. There are no hidden surcharges.
When do I pay?
Metered city rides are paid at the end. Day trips and special services are typically paid on the day, or by advance card link if you prefer. We confirm the total before you book — you always know the price first.
Do you send a receipt?
Yes — a proper VAT invoice by email on request, useful for business travelers and expense reports.
