La Rioja & Haro from Madrid — private driver, no drink-driving worries.
Spain's most famous wine region is 3 hours north of Madrid. Your licensed driver takes you to Haro's Barrio de la Estación — the highest concentration of century-old bodegas in the world — plus a tapas crawl on Logroño's Calle Laurel, all without a rental car. Ideal as an overnight round trip or a long same-day return with 2 wineries.
Why go with a private driver
- Two winery visits with tastings + Calle Laurel tapas without a designated driver.
- One flat quote for up to 6 with luggage — cheaper than a wine tour + train + hotel taxi.
- Door-to-door to Marqués de Riscal, López de Heredia, Muga, Roda, CVNE — we handle the reservations if you'd like.
Ideal for
- Wine lovers and sommeliers. The Barrio de la Estación in Haro has 7 iconic bodegas within walking distance — CVNE, Muga, Bilbaínas, Roda, López de Heredia, Gómez Cruzado, La Rioja Alta.
- Couples and small groups. Overnight at Marqués de Riscal (Frank Gehry-designed hotel) or a Haro boutique — driver returns you the next day.
- Corporate or celebration groups. Up to 6 in one van, licensed driver, no logistics headaches — perfect for anniversaries or team offsites.
- Foodies on a Bilbao route. Combine La Rioja with San Sebastián or Bilbao on the way back.

Frequently asked questions
Do you arrange the winery reservations?
Yes if you'd like. Tell us the bodegas you want and we'll book them — most require reservations, especially Marqués de Riscal, López de Heredia and Muga. Tasting fees are paid direct to the winery.
Same-day return or overnight?
Both work. Same-day is a long 14-hour door-to-door but leaves you back in Madrid that night. Overnight in Haro or at Marqués de Riscal is more relaxed and pairs a second-day visit with brunch and a quieter drive back.
Can you drop us in Bilbao or San Sebastián instead of returning to Madrid?
Yes — Haro is 1h 45 from Bilbao. A common itinerary is Madrid → Haro (2 wineries) → Bilbao overnight → back to Madrid.
What's the best time of year?
May–October is ideal weather. September's harvest is spectacular but bodegas book out early — reserve 6+ weeks ahead. Winter is quiet and atmospheric, with heartier tastings.
